The Honduran Incoming Tour Operator Association (OPTURH) is the organization that groups the 18 best-qualified tour operators of the country. We have developed a wide array of products and services suitable for all types of interests. We are committed to ensure that everyone, from individual tourists to general groups, special interest groups, incentive passengers, corporate travelers, press trips and others receive quality service. Honduras is a rich and vast territory with numerous national parks, biological reserves, extended white sand Caribbean beaches which are part of the most diverse and second largest coral reef of the world, living cultures evident in the Garifuna coast as well as the inland Lencas, colonial cathedrals and majestic Copan: silent witness and most notable proof of the artistic sculptures of the grand Maya civilization. All of this contributes to the unforgettable travel experience of our visitors.

Working together with the Honduras Tourist Board, the National Tourism Chamber and other organizations, it is our commitment that Honduras becomes a quality destination. Our voice in the Institute of Tourism’s Marketing Committee, our efforts among our associates to implement good practices, the promotion and actions towards the conservation of our natural and cultural resources, and the enhancement and execution of trainee programs, are some of the matters in which our Association is directly involved to guarantee the achievement of this objective.

The Honduran Incoming Tour Operator Association (OPTURH) was created in 1996.
Our mission is to integrate all incoming tour operators in an organization that will constitute a respected and qualified force for the continuous improvement, performance and collaboration of its members, making good use of the resources for the adequate expansion of national tourism. Our vision is to become the association that represents the professional incoming tour operators, and be considered by both the private and public tourism sectors in Honduras and Central America as a key organization for decision-making and progress of the tourism industry in our country and region.
